Origins & Hymns

Church Works Media began in 2008 to make hymns like “His Robes for Mine,” “My Jesus, Fair,” and “I Run to Christ” available and affordable for churches and Christians. We now offer more than 50 hymns and Psalms. From the very beginning, we have made congregational versions of our songs available for free download and reproduction, grateful that God is using them to point people to Christ.

Nearly two decades after our founding, we continue to produce hymns and Psalms that are biblical, doctrinal, Christ-centered, beautiful, and congregational. Our songs appear in a variety of hymnals, as choral arrangements, and on our two feature albums.

Devotionals & Books

Shortly after Church Works Media was founded, we began producing devotional books, starting with Gospel Meditations for Women in 2010 (read this post for the backstory). By God’s grace, the various Gospel Meditations titles have now sold more than 200,000 copies. Devotional books followed, and we’ve added several Christian and missionary biographies over the years. Our materials are well-researched, intentionally expositional, and full of gospel truth. By God’s grace, high-quality design has always been a hallmark of our resources.

Missions & Services

Missions has become a major focus of our ministry. We advocate for Great Commission work through our writing, by preaching missions all over the United States, by engaging in leadership training around the world, and by collaborating with gospel-preaching ministries to help them do their work more effectively.

We’ve recently rounded out our media offerings with top-quality video production services under the leadership of award-winning filmmaker Peter Hansen (best known for the Dispatches from the Front series). Our video offerings include a documentary and Bible curriculum (in production—coming soon!) ideal for church use and small group Bible studies. Our video services help other gospel-centered missions and ministries tell their stories.

God has assembled a gifted team of writers, editors, and artists at Church Works Media. While most of our early resources had the fingerprints of our founders on them (Chris Anderson, Joe Tyrpak, and Greg Habegger), we have labored to platform other gifted authors and artists, and we expect Church Works Media to continue to grow in the future.

While our published resources are available on this website, you can also contact us for conferences, concerts, and leading worship.
